Reflecting on live recording

Accent, improvement of French!!!!

Dreadful French, spoken like a GCSE student. Given impression of myself badly. Should've practiced more before I came to France!

No real advice regarding my teaching, ie exams, planning etc. Generally found it was made up as I went along

I was never, still have never been asked about discipline but have had no issues so not a problem. Not sure what I would have done if there was a problem - no obvious forum to discuss these sorts of issues.

Plenty of 'interpersonal' aspects. Impression there would always be time to discuss if necessary. Discussed French culture/ life at my own opportunity.

Initiation - she was happy for me to lead the conversation to various topics. She didn't have any specific information for me, or me any questions for her. I never really had a specific 'timetabling' discussion, I just fell into my role according to the various spaced-out instructions of the individual members of staff.

1. Got basic gist of what she was saying but not everything. I think she had to do a lot of literal translation back to English to understand what I was saying.
2. At the time, quite satisfied. On reflection horrified at the quality of my supposedly degree standard French!
3. I thought I was far more confident of my French than it deserved. I'm surprised she understood anything I said.
